Cardamum
Cardamum sells premium UK-imported family essentials, baby nutrition, and household goods to Sri Lankan consumers. It had built a genuine following and a functioning business through social media alone before approaching EXEVE, real product-market fit with none of the infrastructure to match it.
The business was taking orders through DMs, handling payment manually, and managing customer communication with no central system. For a brand selling baby nutrition and family essentials, categories where trust and authenticity matter most, that ceiling was becoming the limiting factor on growth rather than demand.
We built a full WooCommerce store over three months: a complete product catalogue, payment gateway integration, order management, customer accounts, and marketing modules for discounts and featured products, all designed around the payment preferences and trust signals that matter specifically to Sri Lankan online shoppers rather than a generic template store.
- Social media can validate a product and build real demand, but it has a hard ceiling, at a certain point that demand needs infrastructure to convert reliably and scale past manual DM order-taking.
- For categories like baby nutrition and imported family goods, trust signals and a professional checkout aren't polish, they're the difference between a browser and a buyer.
